Configuring Failover Cluster in Windows Server

Installing/Configuring Windows Cluster

Basic pre-requisites for Windows clustering is Windows Active Directory with nodes added. Follow the document provided earlier (Virtualization_ActiveDirectory-DomainController.docx) to configure AD and prepare an environment where an AD, Node1-Node2-Node3 are configured.

Follow the detailed steps in the document and configure AD and respective Nodes.


 After Nodes are configured login to Node1 as Ad\Administrator account to install feature Failover clustering. Go to Server Manager -> Click Add roles and features




Click Next.


Select Role based and feature-based installation. Click Next.
